How we keep in touch (Pensioners)

'Your Time' newsletter

This is the newsletter we will send to you each year to keep you up to date with what is happening with the Essex Pension Fund and in the pensions world in general.


A P60 is a certificate showing the pension paid and the tax deducted during the

previous tax year. We will send you a P60 in May each year.


We send you a payslip to you at least twice a year.

Pension increase notification

We will write to you every April with details of your pension increase.

Don't forget to keep in touch with us and let us know if you:

  • change address
  • change your bank or building society
  • accept another job where you can join the LGPS
  • change your marriage/relationship status
  • wish to change your nomination of beneficiary for death grant

How we keep in touch (Paying in - active members)

Annual Benefit statements

Each year we will send you a statement showing you an estimate of your benefits.

"Prime" Newsletter

This newsletter is issued up to twice a year and contains useful information regarding changes to the scheme regulations, topical pension issues and updates on the service we provide. Occasionally it will be issued at the same time as the annual benefit statements.

How we keep in touch (no longer paying in - deferred members)

Annual benefit statements are sent out each year to show the current value of your benefits.

Pensions helpline and the website are also available.

Pension payments (pensioner members)

Your pension is paid monthly in arrears on the last traditional working day of the month.

It is normally paid directly into your bank or building society account by BACS (Bank Automated Clearing System).
